I've been writing about intriguing, infamous & inspiring women from History for quite a few years now & I am really passionate about uncovering the hidden her-stories of some lesser known "Sheroe's" on my blogs & social media page too.

I 'm a former English Teacher & Lecturer with a B.A Hons from Birkbeck College, University of London, and a PGCE in Adult Education . I am really fascinated by Victorian, Edwardian, and early 20th Century History & Culture and I love old Hollywood movies and period drama's.  I enjoy walking to keep fit and in the process discovering interesting Hidden History in my local area, and travelling  further afield. I love visiting museums and going on Guided Tours, to seek out brand new stories about Women's lives and experiences in times gone by.

During the Covid 19 Lockdowns, I interviewed my 82 year old mother and recorded her memoirs for posterity. I finally wrote my 1st non fiction book after doing 30 years of genealogy research, based on my own fascinating  Family History in West Ham and Essex. I hope to self publish it later this year.

​

I read a lot of books on  Women's History, and I'm currently putting together a comprehensive guide to all the best books podcasts, plays and blogs that are out there. I am hoping to interview some of my favourite, authors & historians for the blog here. In the future I also plan to set up an online Women's History Book & Gift Shop, offer guided walks and tours, and online talks & courses, as well as producing a series of E-book Guides for readers aged 16+ featuring important pioneering women in a range of interesting categories and periods of history.
